About Us

My family and I love to eat Chinese food. We live in the tropical island of Singapore, located at South-east Asia. Although foods from many different countries are easily available in Singapore, Chinese food continues to be our main diet.

We cook Chinese dishes at home most of the time too. I gathered my cooking skills mainly from my mother, who used to teach cooking when I was young. I learnt more about Chinese cooking from my parents-in-law after I married. My in-laws used to be cooks and they like to try out new recipes at home. The foods that they cook are quite different from my mum’s and as such, my recipe collection grew along the way. I will be sharing with you some nice Chinese food recipes in this website.

Other than eating at home, my family and I like to eat outside when we feel like winding down and relax. Singapore is a multi-racial country with Chinese making up about 3/4 of the population. As such, Chinese food can be found easily all over the island, be it in economically-priced coffee shops or expensive Chinese restaurants. I will be sharing with you information of some delicious Chinese food and drinks too.

Other than Chinese food recipes and information, you can find on this website an ingredients glossary to help you understand more about some of the ingredients that we use in the recipes. There is information about the cook ware required to cook Chinese Food too. We hope that you like this website and find the information useful.
